Why This Course Matters

Many of the behaviors that frustrate caregivers most (impulsivity, emotional outbursts, forgetfulness, disorganization, poor focus, or difficulty following directions) are often misunderstood as intentional misbehavior. For children who have experienced trauma, these behaviors are frequently signs of underdeveloped Executive Function rather than willful defiance.

When caregivers understand what is happening inside the brain, they can replace punishment with support, lower stress for the entire family, and help children build the skills they need to succeed. This course equips parents and professionals with practical, brain-based strategies that promote growth, regulation, and stronger relationships.
